The Stories We Tell – A Blog Primer

I am an actor – A storyteller. One of main reasons I am an actor is because I believe in the power of storytelling to connect us, to free us, to heal us, and to allow us to experience a life beyond ourselves. Since I am not one to update my website with all of my smaller projects I feel that (trying to) maintain a blog is a good way to keep things here active as well as give you little glimpses into the personal stories that contribute to the ones that end up on the stage or screen. I want to tell you the stories of what is being lived.

I am also autistic (formally diagnosed in early 2025) so it can be hard for me to get past decision paralysis, executive dysfunction, rejection sensitive dysphoria, and masking fatigue to get things done. I want to share what some of that struggle is like, my journey in unmasking, and how all of this is also why I am an actor.

I’ll get there. Promise.

Before that I’ll probably repost old things from blogs-gone-by to get the ball rolling.

I hope you’ll be patient with me. Maybe, just maybe, some of the stories I tell will be the ones that settle in to your brain and bones and allow you to experience a bit of life beyond yourself.

Oh, and thank you for being here…and for listening.
